Better Homes & Gardens and Traditional Home (BHG/Traditional Home) actually reported back in 2018 at IBS, Orlando, that their survey data was showing a slight drop in the open floor concept where, for example, you have a combined kitchen, family room with shared eating space. During the pandemic, many of us too often felt like we were on top of each other’s living space. The waking hours at home was up 27% from May 2019 to May 2020 (CNN Business). Pushing stress levels even higher, families have been reassessing and balancing what they want with what will be practical in their home for the future. And about 60% of homesteaders had to change around the way their homes were organized (IKEA).Is
